Elephant nose fish can locate prey through electrolocation, which makes them special. The electroplax, which is found in Gnathonemus petersii, functions like the electric eel’s electroplax organ. But the preferred aquarium animal is the West and Central African elephant nose. Driftwood, roots, and stones must be present for hiding in the aquarium’s habitat. The fish enjoys burrowing in the aquarium’s substrate near the bottom.
