Duck enclosures can be constructed using timber that measures 5 m x 8 m and is approximately 2.5 meters in height. Bamboo slats can be utilized for the cage walls, which should cover at least one-third of the cage’s height. To prevent water from entering, the roof of the cage can be covered with fiber roofing or other suitable materials.

The roof is designed in a similar shape to that of a house. Additionally, a terrace measuring 1.5 meters in length can be opened at the front of the cage. This terrace serves the purpose of providing ducks with a space to bask in the sun, play, and consume food and water.

In the middle of the terrace, a trench with dimensions of 30 cm in width and 10-15 cm in depth is dug to serve as a drinking area for the ducks. The bottom of the cage can be designed in two different ways. The first option is to create a cement floor at an angle of approximately 20 degrees. This sloping floor makes cleaning the cage easier, as feces and leftover food can simply be watered down and drained into a ditch that is 10 cm wide and slopes at around 25-30 degrees in front of the cage exit.

The second option is to cover the bottom of the cage with a layer of rice husk that is 10-12 cm thick and moist. The presence of eggshells helps to reduce odors and minimize the risk of egg breakage. It is important to regularly turn the eggshells every 3-4 weeks to prevent the growth of fungi and eliminate harmful gases produced during the fermentation process within the shells.

The terrace floor can be made of concrete or covered with sandstone to prevent the cage from becoming dirty and emitting unpleasant odors.
