In 1956, Soedjana Kassan became the first Indonesian to serve as the Bogor Botanical Garden (KRB) director. The lipstick flower (Aeschynanthus soedjana kassan) was later named for her. A researcher at PKT KRB, LIPI named Sri Rahayu developed the lipstick flower Soedjana Kassan, known as SoeKa lipstick, and it was released to the public in 2014.
