Farmers face difficulties with gumboro disease in poultry. The disease mainly affects chickens. PT Tekad Mandiri Citra developed a prototype of IgY-4-G gumboro immune serum (immunoglobulin yolk) in response to restrictions on the use of Antibiotic Growth Promoter (AGP) and animal welfare concerns. Antibodies from chicken egg yolk are used by the immune serum for both immunotherapy and immunoprophylactic activities in the fight against gumboro.
