Causes of Burning Mango Leaves

The burning appearance of mango leaves indicates a calcium (Ca) deficiency in the mango plant. Sprinkle 150-200 grams/square meters of dolomite or agricultural lime under the canopy each year to correct this.

The indications of magnesium (Mg) deficiency are similar. Because the wax layer on the leaves of magnesium-deficient plants is thinner, the leaves burn more easily when exposed to sunlight.

For healthy mango leaves, use an NPK compound fertilizer that successfully promotes plant fruiting. Use a 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer. Apply 300-350 grams/tree of NPK fertilizer under the canopy every three months. Ensure that the mango plants are constantly watered during the dry season.
