There are also opportunities for religious travel, such as to the Sultan Mosque in Kampong Glam. 4,000–5,000 worshipers can fit in the oldest mosque which Sir Stamford Raffles erected to satisfy Sultan Hussein Shah of Johor. A unique aspect of the Mughal Gothic architecture was the mosque’s gold-domed roof.
