The by-product of cassava or tapioca flour production, onggok cassava, has a market value. Because onggok contains carbohydrates, it can be used as animal feed. Onggok is often formed into a small circle and dried in the sun for two to three days. Onggok is sought after by producers of cheap tomato sauce and chili sauce for meatball and noodle traders and is often used as a mosquito repellent for burning mosquitoes.
