The Cianjur to Cipatat railway line has been reactivated by the Ministry of Transportation for up to 30 km in September 2020. The program to reactivate the Cianjur to Padalarang railway includes the operation of the railway in conjunction with the Siliwangi railway. The 13.8 kilometer Cipatat to Padalarang line will be built in 2023 as part of the Cianjur to Padalarang railway reactivation project.
