Gunawan of the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Universitas Indonesia, explained the function of calcium florida in jengki anchovies at a doctoral promotion in 2006.

Jengki anchovies, also known as ikan teri jengki in Indonesian, are a popular type of small fish. One serving (100 g) of Jengki anchovies contains 289 calories, 24 g protein, 20 g fat, 5 g saturated fat, 58 mg cholesterol, 824 mg sodium, 484 mg potassium, 174 mg calcium, and 3.3 mg iron.
