Ornamental plant rental services have been available since the 1990s, albeit with a limited number of business players. Various potted ornamental plants, such as anthurium, waregu palm, philodendron, and aglaonema, can be rented as offices, restaurants, apartments, hospitals, and shops. These plants are kept in pots with a diameter of 20-40 cm and are specially cared for.
Houseplants like aglaonema and philodendron can last up to a week in a refrigerated room. Beyond that, their condition will decline. Therefore, knowledge of plant turnover and durability is crucial for renting out plants. This ensures that the plants maintain their excellent appearance and satisfy consumers.
As a plant rental service provider, understanding plant replacement management is essential. To ensure clear identification of replacement plants, it is recommended to label them by week (e.g. week 1, week 2, etc.).
It is important to note that ornamental plants in poor condition require approximately one month to recover. Additionally, it is recommended to have at least four backup replacement plants for every rented plant to minimize operational costs. Despite these considerations, ornamental plant rental services can still be profitable.
