Production of Maggot Flour

Maggots (Hermetia illucens) are now a different feed choice. Making maggot flour before converting it into other forms, including pellets, is one of the uses. Maggots are first steamed before being turned into maggot flour. The ideal steaming time, according to research by Fariz Muh Zulfan from Universitas Airlangga, is 25 minutes, with a protein level of 38.14 percent and a fat content of 15.94 percent.
