The Lucky Dewa Fish

The dewa fish started gaining popularity. The term kancra bodas in West Java describes the Tor douronesis species. Members of the family Cyprinidae are related to other Tor genera, namely tambra (Tor tambra) and kancra (Tor soro). In Sumatra, Tor soro is found in many rivers. Because of its high value, which can exceed IDR 500,000 per head, it is thought to bring good fortune to those who catch it.
