The miba kind of papaya (Carica papaya) is one of the varieties grown in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The papaya was researched by Dr Awang Maharijaya and colleagues with plant breeders Abdul Karim Sidik and Budiyanto. The miba variety is oval and has a sweetness level of up to 17° brix, a harvest output of 32–64 tons/ha, and a thick fleshy of 2.2 cm. Advantages include orange-colored flesh and a weekly harvest rate of 1-2 pieces.
