The island of Sumatra’s highest mountain, Mount Kerinci, is renowned for its ascent (3,805 meters above sea level). Two hiking routes, Kersik Tuo in Kerinci Regency and Pintu Rimba in South Solok Regency, lead to Mount Kerinci’s summit. Additionally, camping, birdwatching, forest trekking, and SAR training are also popular activities that can be done on the mountain, which is a part of the Kerinci Seblat National Park (TNKS).
