Plant Teak Seedlings to Grow Tall

Teak seedlings can reach a height of 30-50 cm and can be planted in planting holes in the ground. The size of the planting hole is 50 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm. Fill 2-3 kg of manure into the planting hole, and after standing for a week, the teak seedlings can be planted. Healthy seedlings will develop fresh, bright green leaves within two weeks.

If the planting hole is also used to cultivate teak trees, about one month after planting the seedlings, apply a dose of 5 kg of manure mixed with about 15 grams of TSP fertilizer to the plants. This is the first fertilization. After 3 months, 100 grams of Urea fertilizer was spread in each hole.

Subsequent fertilizers, namely NPK fertilizers, were applied when teak trees were 6 months old at a dose of 150 grams NPK fertilizers/plant. Especially for nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, dig a 10-12 cm deep trench is dug around the planting hole to apply. Sprinkle with soil and water, then cover.

The entire fertilization treatment is repeated every 2 years. With this method, the quality of teak wood can be obtained with thick cambium with light brown fine fibers and dark brown terraces when the teak tree is 7-8 years old.
